Available Widget Types

App Select

Select an application as the basis for the widget.

Entity Select (File Manager)

Select the entity to pull data. As an example, in File Manager, select the Drawings entity if the widget is to pull data from folders of type Drawing.

List Select

Displays only when multiple lists are available. Select the appropriate list for the widget data source.

View Select

Select the appropriate view for the widget data source. If the desired view does not exist, create a new view in the application.  The columns available in the View determine the attributes available in the widget parameters.

Name Field

Title that appears on the widget when saved. By default, the widget is given the name of the selected view.

Widget Select

Provides options for how the data is displayed. Supported widget types are Bar, Stacked Bar, Clustered Bar, Doughnut, Line, and Pie.

Include Data from Child Partitions Toggle

Enabling this toggle will include data for subprojects in the chart. Subprojects are any project that is under the current project in the project hierarchy.

Data Group By

Select one or more attributes to group data into meaningful counts. Examples include grouping by a Contact field to provide counts by person’s name or grouping by a Date field and range to provide counts within date ranges.
Add Grouping: Provides ability to group the results by more than one attribute

Calculation 

Count:  Count of records returned

Sum: Sum of numerical values in the selected column of data.

Vertical Axis

Linear:  Provides evenly distributed X axis based on the values

Logarithmic:  Provides scaled X axis based on the values.  Negative numbers are not supported.  

Rotate Labels

Rotates bar labels 60% for additional real estate.

Group By

Horizontal

Adjusts the orientation to flip the X and Y axis, resulting in horizontal bars

Ratio

Totals the Calculation value for Count/Sum and returns results spread across the total, for a ratio of 100%.  All bars will be the same size.

Hide Legend

Removes the legend from the chart output, off by default

Group By

Fields

Prepopulates with the attributes selected in the view definition. Displayed columns can be modified by selecting/unselecting the desired columns. Additionally, the order can be modified using drag and drop.

Show Compact View Toggle

Provides option for user to display data in a smaller font size to make more data visible without scrolling.
